Can I email receipts directly to Nomad?

Yes. Every workspace gets a unique inbound address. Forward subscription invoices, hotel folios, or one-off receipts and they land in your Pending tab — already OCR'd and ready to match against pending recurring reminders. Set up a Gmail or Outlook filter once and the right messages forward automatically; everything else stays in your inbox.

Does Nomad read my email inbox?

No — and we deliberately don't. Most receipt-capture tools ask for full Gmail or Outlook OAuth access, which lets them read every email you've ever received. Nomad takes the opposite approach: a one-way forwarding address that only ever sees what you (or a filter rule you control) explicitly send to it. Your inbox stays yours.

Can Nomad track recurring subscriptions automatically?

Yes. A recurring-expense template can create a pre-filled draft on its schedule, including the category, vendor, project, and tax settings you chose. Review each draft and its receipt before relying on it for approval or reporting.

Can I upload many receipts at once?

Yes. You can select multiple supported receipt files in Documents. Nomad processes each file separately, shows its OCR status, and leaves every result available for review before it becomes an expense. Upload limits and supported formats are shown in the product.

How does the receipt OCR work?

Accepted Answer

Simply take a photo of your receipt or upload an image/PDF. Our OCR technology automatically extracts key details like merchant name, amount, date, and tax information. You can review and edit the extracted data before saving.

Which currencies are supported?

Nomad records the original currency and keeps a home-currency amount for reporting. Users can review the conversion before the expense is approved or included in reports.

Can I set up custom approval workflows?

Company workspaces can require approval and configure auto-approval rules such as single-member workspaces, selected roles, or expenses below a chosen amount. Approval and employee reimbursement remain separate statuses.

Are there native iOS and Android apps?

Nomad is designed for web, iOS, and Android. Mobile supports receipt capture and local/offline workflows; OCR processing, cloud synchronization, and some workspace features require a connection and may vary by platform version.

Does Nomad integrate with accounting software?

Nomad exports structured expense data to CSV and Excel so you can provide a clean, complete file to your accountant or import it into an accounting workflow. Direct accounting-platform synchronization is not currently advertised as a standard feature.

Is my data secure?

Yes. Nomad offers a 14-day trial with no credit card required. The pricing page and signup flow show the current plan features, OCR allowance, add-ons, and subscription prices before you commit.

What happens after my 14-day trial ends?

Accepted Answer

When the trial ends, paid features may be paused until a subscription is selected. Data handling and deletion follow the current account state, Terms, and Privacy Policy; export records you need before closing an account.

Can a self-employed person use Nomad without a team?

Yes. A personal workspace lets you organize your own expenses and receipts. You can add a company workspace and collaborators later if your needs grow.

Does Nomad replace my accounting software?

Accepted Answer

No. Nomad captures, organizes, approves, and exports expense records. It helps you give your accountant a clean, complete file, but it does not replace professional accounting or tax advice.
